Design, Building & Development
My work spans residential and commercial interiors, new construction, adaptive reuse, and housing development. For more than three decades, I've worked at the intersection of design, construction, and problem-solving, bringing together the creative and technical disciplines required to make ambitious projects possible.
I believe good design should do more than look beautiful. It should respond intelligently to how people live, how buildings function, and how communities evolve.
Design, Construction & Project Leadership
From individual residences to complex renovations, commercial spaces, and new construction, I approach projects as interconnected systems rather than isolated design decisions.
I work with architects, engineers, general contractors, fabricators, and skilled trades across the country to develop and execute cohesive projects. My involvement can extend from early feasibility and spatial planning through material selection, budgeting, coordination, and construction.
The goal is not simply to design a space, but to understand how every decision affects the whole and to bring the right people and resources together to build it well.
Housing, Development & Creative Solutions
My work also extends beyond individual buildings to the larger questions of how we create places for people to live.
I'm particularly interested in affordable and mixed-income housing, accessibility-first design, adaptive reuse, and neighborhood-scale development. These projects require more than conventional design thinking. They demand an understanding of construction economics, land use, financing, building systems, and the everyday needs of the people who will live there.
I look for opportunities others may overlook, connect ideas across disciplines, and develop practical solutions that balance cost, function, longevity, and quality of life.
Whether the project is a single interior or an entire housing development, the underlying question remains the same: How can we make this work better for the people it serves?
Interior Design
Interior design is where my background as an artist, designer, and builder comes together.
For more than 30 years, I've created interiors that are personal, layered, functional, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them. My work encompasses residential and commercial spaces, from individual rooms and historic properties to entire homes, workplaces, and new construction.
I approach interiors with an understanding of architecture, proportion, materials, craftsmanship, and the realities of construction. I work with custom furnishings, textiles, lighting, finishes, architectural details, and artwork, often collaborating with artisans, fabricators, and manufacturers around the world.
My practice isn't defined by a particular style. I'm interested in understanding how people live, what they value, and what they need from their surroundings. Sometimes that means preserving the character of an existing building. Other times it means rethinking the space entirely.
Whether I'm designing a single room or every interior detail of a new building, the objective is the same: to create spaces that are thoughtful, distinctive, enduring, and genuinely suited to the people who use them.
